Three constructions, three price points, and only one of them is correct for your car. Downgrading is the fastest way to buy two batteries in three years.

AGM
Absorbed Glass Mat
The electrolyte is held in glass matting rather than sloshing around as free acid. It tolerates deep partial discharge, charges faster and survives the constant cycling that stop-start and energy recovery cause.
- Standard on most premium cars with stop-start
- Required where the battery sits in the boot or cabin
- Handles hundreds of engine restarts a day
- Never replace an AGM with anything else

EFB
Enhanced Flooded Battery
A reinforced flooded battery built for entry-level stop-start systems. Roughly twice the cycle life of a standard unit, at a lower cost than AGM — but not a substitute for AGM where AGM was fitted.
- Common on smaller cars with basic stop-start
- Can be upgraded to AGM; never downgraded from it
- Cheaper than AGM, far tougher than standard
- Some European cars still need it registered

Standard
Flooded lead-acid
The classic wet cell. Correct on cars without stop-start — which still includes many Japanese SUVs, pickups and older saloons on the roads here.
- Correct where no stop-start is fitted
- Lowest cost per fitment
- Must not be fitted where AGM or EFB was specified
- Shorter service life in Dubai Creek Harbour heat

Choosing the correct battery for your car
Six figures decide whether a battery is right. Get any one wrong and the car will tell you within a month.

Does my new battery need to be registered?
Only on some cars. Many European and premium models — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Porsche, Land Rover, Volvo — have battery management that must be told a new battery is fitted. Most Japanese, Korean and American cars do not, but still need resets such as idle relearn and window re-initialisation. Both are included in our price.
Can you get into my tower's basement parking?
Yes. Our vans are sized for height-restricted ramps, and we deal with security gates in Dubai Creek Harbour every day. Tell us the tower, the level and the bay number when you call, and let security know we are coming if your building requires it.
Do you replace the 12V battery on hybrids and EVs?
Yes. Toyota and Lexus hybrids, Tesla and other EVs all have a 12V auxiliary battery. When it fails the car will not switch on, however full the main battery is. We test it and carry replacements.
How long does the replacement take?
About twenty minutes from arrival, including the load test beforehand and the registration or resets afterwards. Batteries under a seat or floor panel take a little longer.
What warranty do I get?
Up to 24 months depending on the brand you choose, registered in your name, and honoured wherever you are in Dubai Creek Harbour. The paperwork is sent to you by WhatsApp the same day.
Will I lose my radio codes, seat memory or settings?
No. We connect a memory keeper through the OBD port before the old battery comes out, so the car never loses power. Seat memory, stored destinations and the clock all survive.
What if the battery turns out to be fine?
Then we say so. If the load test clears the battery and points at the alternator, a parasitic drain or something else, you get told that and the diagnosis costs you nothing.
Do you carry batteries for my make?
Almost certainly. The van carries the common sizes for Japanese, Korean, American, European and Chinese cars. Send us the make, model and year and we confirm the exact battery before we set off.
