AGM
Absorbed Glass Mat
The electrolyte is held in glass matting rather than sloshing around as free acid. It tolerates deep partial discharge, charges faster and survives the constant cycling that stop-start and energy recovery cause.

EFB
Enhanced Flooded Battery
A reinforced flooded battery built for entry-level stop-start systems. Roughly twice the cycle life of a standard unit, at a lower cost than AGM — but not a substitute for AGM where AGM was fitted.

Fitting a Seabing to your car
The brand changes the battery. It does not change the standard of the fit.
Whichever brand you choose, the visit runs the same way: the old battery is load tested first, a memory keeper goes on before anything is disconnected, the hold-down is torqued rather than nipped up, and on boot-mounted or under-seat fitments the vent tube is reconnected to its outlet.
On cars with battery management — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Porsche, Range Rover, Volvo — the new unit is then registered, and coded if the capacity or technology has changed. On most Japanese, Korean and American cars we run the resets instead: idle relearn, window and sunroof re-initialisation, steering angle. You see the result before we pack up, and the warranty is registered in your name the same day.

Is Seabing a good battery for my car?
It is one we will fit and warranty ourselves, which is the test we apply to everything on the shelf. Whether it is the right choice depends on the car — a stop-start car needs AGM or EFB whatever the badge says, whether it is a Nissan or a Mercedes — and we will tell you plainly if a cheaper unit would be a false economy.
How long does a Seabing last in Dubai Creek Harbour?
Heat and humidity, not age, are the limiting factors by the Creek. Expect roughly three to four years from an AGM unit and two to three from a conventional one; short trips and cars left parked for days while you travel shorten both. Any battery past three years is worth load testing before the summer.
